How to have maximum fun with your new Swegway Hoverboard

We can only imagine how many smiling faces woke up this Christmas to a Swegway.

As one of the most popular gifts this year if you are reading this then we presume you are one of the people proud to be a new owner of a Swegway Hoverboard.

If you happen to be of one the lucky ones, then to prepare you we have pulled together some tips on how to make the most of your speedy new board.

1. Start slow and work your speed and skills up

Ever heard the saying, “slow and steady wins the race?” the same applies to Swegways!

We all want to get on our new Swegway for the first time and hit top speeds like we have been riding for years but things don’t normally work out that way.

Don’t worry, you will get to grips with your board very quickly but for the first few hours hold onto someone or a wall till you are confident.

There will be plenty of time to become the next Swegway star but until then gain your confidence. Remember practice makes perfect.

2. Stay safe

Like any mode of transport there is always an element of risk involved when you are the person in control. It is important that you respect your board and what it is capable of.

Here are some simple tips to ensure you stay as safe as possible:

  1. Only buy from trusted, UL certified sources like UK Swegways
  2. Ensure that not too much weight is on the board at the same time
  3. Get on your board carefully
  4. Wear safety gear
  5. Look where you are going

3. Look after your board

When you by any new item to make the most of it you need to look after it. If you care for your board then you will enjoy it for years to come.

All our boards are thoroughly tested before they are sent to you and every board comes with 12 months’ warranty but it is up to you to ensure you look after it correctly.

One thing that will help is if you purchase some Swegway Protective Strips. These fit over your wheel arches and protect your board from any bumps or rolls.

4. Have fun

Most of all we want you to have fun on your new board. There is so much fun that you can have with a Swegway from hide and seek to Swegway Drag racing The truth is that as long as you follow our advice above then you will have hours and hours of fun.
